Maria's dental emergency
Maria had been experiencing toothache - enduring 6 weeks of pain, reaching the point where she could no longer eat. At this point Maria booked an emergency appointment with us at Dental Health Private Dental Clinic. She called the clinic first thing in the morning and we booked her in within a few hours to see the dentist.
What we did
We saw Maria as soon as we could. Although our dentists are booked up well in advance we always leave a few appointments each day for the unforeseen emergency. When Maria came in, we took time to understand the problem and then used a digital X-Ray to help diagnose the issue as well as examine the tooth and surrounding areas carefully.
Outcome
The X-Ray showed Maria had an infection. Our dentist prescribed a course of antibiotics and invited Maria back a week later to ensure the problem had been resolved.

"I have been going to Dental Health Private Dental Clinic for over 25 years and I wouldn't consider changing to another clinic as I am always happy with service. I always get a warm and friendly welcome from all the team. I felt a few twinges with my tooth a while ago, but this had developed to the point where my mouth was swollen and I was in so much pain that I couldn’t eat. I was so relieved when I called the practice and they said they could see me the same day! The experience was actually fine, brilliant! My dentist gave me a course of antibiotics and I made a review appointment to see her a week later. I felt things had improved and she examined the area to check that was the case and the infection had gone. I am now totally out of pain and booked in for my 6 month Dental health review and with the hygienist too!"
